Well, in my research on the varied prophecies, none of them state that the world will end in 2012 at all. It appears that the fact that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 that people are speculating that this means that the world will end. According to the varied prophecies we may expect some really tough times to begin in 2012, but not the end of the world.
