These are the myths of brain functions:
*We only use ten percent of the our brain - this is not true, there is not a part of the brain that is not doing its job
*The brain does not grow new cells - this was an accepted fact for many year however, recent research has show that this is untrue. The brain has a remarkable ability to recover from traumatic even such as stroke.
*schizophrenia means split personality - this is not two, schizophrenia and split personality are two different things

These are the amazing facts about the human brain:
*each person has almost the same number of brain cells at birth as in adulthood
*newborn brains triples its size in the first year of life, this is the reason why babies have big heads
