What are the must-have applications for the T Mobile G1?

My Android Dev Phone 1 was delivered today. It's a hardware and SIM unlocked version of the T Mobile G1. As a new G1 user, I want to know what are the best applications in the Android Market? I've heard the review system isn't too reliable.

You can recognize a Dev Phone 1 by it's unique back plate:

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would have to say that the internal compass that works in coordination with street view is the most valuable "application" you gotta check that out.

A user is able to pan around a particular street as if it where right in front of them simply by moving the unit from side to side and up and down, lets see the iPhone's accelerometer do that!

(Go to about 1minute 1 seconds on the video)

I use imeem all the time. I love it. I would also recommend Meebo and LocalSpinner. Enjoy the new phone.

The only apps I really use are Shazam, the Twitter client Twidroid, and The Weather Channel app. Personally I don't really like most of the apps on the Android Market.
