What are the major components of an accordion?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The expandable bellows and two wooden end units called the treble and bass ends are the major components of accordion. At the end of the treble end a keyboard is attached accompanied with treble couplers. The bass end contains finger buttons that are used for playing bass notes and chords. Accordion bellows, located between the treble and bass ends, is the most important part of this instrument that drives air across internal reeds causing them to vibrate producing sound. This is made from pleated layers of cloth and cardboard, with added leather and metal.
