What are the main historical inaccuracies in the movie Schindler's List?
Ever since I was young I have continually heard controversy over this movie. I still have yet to watch it to this day because when I was younger I wasn’t allowed to watch it and now my mother has ‘forgotten’ where she put our copy of the movie. I do plan on watching it here some day, but am curious about all this talk I am hearing. I keep hearing that this movie portrayed historical events, yet they were inaccurate. So I am curious to know what the main inaccuracies of this movie are.

The controversy you speak of wasn't about its inaccuracy, but more on the contrary. The book it was based on, Schindler's Ark, received a Booker Prize, which is normally reserved for fiction, while this book was non-fiction.
Actually, there isn't really that much inaccurate about the movie. It is widely accepted as one of the most accurate stories about World War II, and about Schindler in particular.
There are only a few historical inaccuracies, which are really just minor.
For instance, in the movie, Auschwitz is liberated only after the Nazis surrendered, while in fact Auschwitz was liberated two days before the official end of the war, on 27th January 1945, while the Nazis surrendered on 29th April 1945.
As said, nothing to get excited about, you can really watch the movie, without fear of being deceived, the movie is as accurate as possible.
