What are the issues preventing the water in the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant from being recirculated?
As I understand, there is too much contaminated water at the damaged Fukushima Daihichi Power Plant in northern Japan. What I am wondering is why this water cannot be recirculated later through the plant? What are the technical issues and are there any "out of the box" solutions to solve this problem?

Not only is the water contaminated with radioactivity, it is probably full of particulate contaminates as well. If the radioactive water is used again, it will cause radioactivity in everything it contacts. The particulates in the water can damage pumps, as well as clogging pipes from internal corrosive buildup.
There is no out-of-box solution as nuclear power is still "new", and not all potential problems have been discovered.
