Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think there are several shows that are very funny to many eople including me. Television shows for adults like Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, The Simpsons, Futurama, That 70’s Show and Two and a Half Men.

Many of my favorite comedy shows are made for children, which are Disney’s Hannah Montana and Wizard’s of Waverly Place. Another personal favorite would be Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, I–Carly, and Zoey-101. However, for young children I love the Sesame Street and Author because they teach and add the comedy.

Yet, it is impossible to begin trying to compare the new shows to the older shows. Many television shows from the past like Sandford & Son, Three’s Company, Punky Brewster, and Different Strokes are classics and deserve respect for the talented work that went into making each of these funny television show.

Some of the most popular comedies currently being produced for television include "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men," "Modern Family," "Cougartown," "Psych," and "Men of a Certain Age." One of the biggest differences between these shows and those of times past is the set up and shooting methods. Previously the majority of comedies were filmed before a live studio audience and contained a laugh track. The current model tends to be more a single-camera set up without an audience. It makes the shows feel more like the hour-long shows as well as gives it a movie feel. While the settings are still somewhat limited, there are more location shots than in days past.

Comedies are also not limited to the half-hour format. There is more room for humor in the hour-long format. "Psych" is the best example of a pure comedy that runs for an hour, though there is significant humor in shows such as "Castle" and "Desperate Housewives."
