What other teams fit this description?

Along with those, I would add the Fran Tarkenton era Vikings, and the Culpepper-Moss Vikings, although that wasn't much of an era. The fifth one would have to be Dan Marino's Dolphins of the early 1980s.

M$1. The 1973-1975 Minnesota Vikings
2. The 1986-1988 Denver Broncos
However, since I really don't know football, I'll refer you to another's list. The Bleacher Report has a list of top ten teams that didn't win the super bowl. Their list includes:
10. 1979 San Diego Chargers
9. 1998 Atlanta Falcons
8. 1990 Buffalo Bills
7. 1992 San Francisco 49ers
6. 1984 Miami Dolphins
5. 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers
4. 1983 Washington Redskins
3. 1998 Minnesota Vikings
2. 2005 Indianapolis Colts
1. 2007 New England Patriots
And there is a forum post in Big Soccer that allows people to vote where a member listed these as the eight best teams not to win a Super Bowl (in chronological order):
1968 Colts- The NFL champions who lost to Namath's Jets.
1974 Vikings- Tarkenton and the Purple People Eaters. NFC champions lost to the Steelers.
1976 Steelers- The two-time defending Super Bowl champs lost the AFC title game to the Raiders, but both Franco and Rocky were injured and didn't play.
1978 Cowboys- IMO as complete a team as ever there was, but bridesmaids all the same.
1983 Redskins- Defending champs lost to the Raiders.
1990-1993 Bills- Four-time AFC champions, just couldn't win that last one.
1998 Vikings- Lost to the Falcons in the NFC title game.
2001 Rams- lost to New England in the Super Bowl.

M$Well, I would feel that for every team that WON a Super Bowl, there are a few thousand fans that felt there was a team that SHOULD have won.
So, over time, the answers will begin to vary widely.
I suppose you get different answers if you go for individual years over longer periods of time. The 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers went 15-1 and were certainly an amazing team. However, a very similar Steelers team won the Super Bowl the next year with an 11-5 regular season record. For that reason, I consider the Steelers from a few years ago as a team that did, in fact, win the Super Bowl. Really interesting list, though! Thanks for sending it along.
It's also very interesting about the Broncos from the '80s. They were always kind of thought of as a lame team. Even though they kept going to the Super Bowls the 49ers always just destroyed them.
2. Buffalo Bills
3. Philadelphia Eagles
4. Carolina Panthers
5. Jacksonville Jaguars
