What are the comedy movies can you recommend that will truly make me laugh?

I just cant seem to find a really hilarious movie nowadays there's very few films that i really laugh at anymore , the films I truly find hilarious and only ones I laugh at are such as Big Lebowski, Pineapple Express, Superbad, Snatch , Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels stuff like that...

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The movie that comes to mind that I absolutely loved was "The Ringer." I remember we did not have great expectations on this movie and we laughed the whole movie through. We have actually watched it a second time recently. Without giving the movie plot away, it is based on handicapped people or special needs people and we can relate. My husband's brother was brain damaged at birth and he is an absolute joy to be around. Every day we are around him we laugh. He always does something innocent or cute that is just so funny. So we could relate to the movie very well, but everyone I told to watch this movie loved it as well. I hope you put it on your list of movies to watch! You will not be disappointed!

I thought Mixed Nuts was hilarious. It's about the insane situations that occur at a suicide hotline at Christmas. Plus it includes some awosme actors like Juliette Luis and Adam Sandler, Ron Reiner and Parker Posley, not to mention Stever Martin and Robert Klein.

Well I do have to say that it sounds terrible, but the movie that made me laugh the most has got to be Kenny (2006). It's a mockumentary about a guy in Melbourne, Australia that has a port a potty business. I watched it because it was a recommendation on my netflix account. I laughed and laughed, then laughed some more. I had to see if I was the only one who thought this movie was funny, nope. It has 9 stars out of 10 on IMDb and that's saying a lot.

I was doubled over in some of the things that happened on this film. It's done so much like a documentary, I bet you can fool your friends into believing it is real. This poor guy has luck about like mine, and he is a good ole guy.

You seem to like movies that have clever dialogue but a lot of action to keep the story moving. If you haven't already, I would suggest seeing all the other movies by the Cohen Brothers who directed The Big Lebowski-- especially The Hudsucker Proxy, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Raising Arizona, and Burn After Reading.

Charlie Kaufman is known for writing fast-paced comedic screenplays, including Adaptaion, Eternal Sunshine on a Spotless Mind, and Being John Malkovich.

You might also check out director Wes Anderson who made The Life Aquatic, The Royal Tennenbaums, and Rushmore.

I am not sure if you are willing to watch older movies or not. My favorites from before the nineties are Steve Martin movies The Jerk, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Roxanne; Harold Ramis/Bill Murray movies Groundhog Day 1993 actually, Caddyshack, and Stripes; and anything Woody Allen ever made but especially Bananas, Annie Hall, Manhatten, and Sleeper.

If your sense of humor doesn't match mine or if you've seen all these, you might try the Comedy Movies quiz at the Hunch decision engine: http://hunch.com/comedies/
