You can make flyers advertising the date, time and location of your sale and post them on community bulletin boards at grocery stores, libraries, etc. in the area. Here, we post flyers on the street light poles at nearby intersections; some towns and neighborhoods don't let you do that but if yours allows it then go for it!
On the days of your sale, put a big sign by the road to mark your sale and to attract drivers who just happen to be passing by. I tie a few balloons on my signs so the drivers can see them before they can read the sign.
You may also be able to advertise your sale on a community radio station; here we have a program once a week where callers can offer things for sale or advertise their yard sales.
