What are the best USB microphones for recording podcasts?

I'm starting to record some podcasts and I need a good USB microphone. Which USB microphones are best for recording audio and video podcasts? Where do they sell them online?
Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

@m3po,

You can find quality USB microphones online. My advice is to check Amazon.com and Tigerdirect.com. These sites have a wide variety of microphones at reasonable prices. In addition, if you are cash-strapped you may be able to find a used or refurbished unit.

In terms of USB Mics, there is a huge spectrum of quality. For example, you could purchase this $200 USB Microphone by Audio-Technica. It is known for its "crystal clear sound" and is ideal for "podcasting and home studio recording".

On the other hand, you could go for a more Economic Model that won't sacrifice to much quality. This Nady USB Microphone coems with a stand and is "ideal for voice-overs and voice recording".

Hope this helps

2. Audio-Technica AT2020USB Condenser Microphone
This is the one brand that you will see at major studios since broadcasters have counted on this mic for years. When it is plugged, the USB drivers are loaded automatically and lets you use it right out of the box. The best feature is its renowned sound quality. The voice recording have a nice body and crisp highs.

3. Samson C01U Condenser USB Microphone which holds up pretty well against the competition. It is cheap and costs only under $100 and you can add a nice "spider mount" add-on to it for additional $29. It is also very hand and picks up any tiny bump. It has a clean surface and works on Macbook Pro without any glitches.
