M$Speaking from my own personal experience (I have Super Curly hair that is really thick and tends to get frizzy every now and then) and let me just say - don't cut it! I know summer is coming and you may be tempted for it, but you have gorgeous unique hair.
So what hairstyles can you do? Well here are some of my favorite for when I'm on the go:
- Side ponytail: Because we have curls - I like showing them off! You can easily collect the hair from one side going to the left or right (your choice) and pull it back. When you do this it's easier to do this right out of the shower because your curls are all moisturized and tend to be a little bit more curly.
You don't need to rush out and pay for any products; you just need a few things. Your brush, some bobby pins, a ponytail and a hairspray ( I use the Ouidad Balancing Rinse Essential Daily Curly Spray *It's not thick or greasy*)
2. LET IT OUT! I used to keep my hair in a tight bun because I didn't know how to handle it. Here's what style I was doing last year. It was a basic all curly and loose hair style with bangs that included a headband.
Now for this you will just need to get your bangs styled (your choice - I have sideswept still) and have those nice sleek and straight. When that is done spritz it with a bit of hairspray and that section is over. For the rest of your hair I once again suggest to do this after you have deep conditioned and when it's a bit wet.
You can scrunchie it a bit to have all the curly keep their curlyness. To keep your hair from getting crazy during the day make sure you use a really good conditioner and go light on the hair spray since it can dry it out. Once you have all of your curly hair the way you like it you can top it off with a thin hairband. This is your choice to also use it as an accessory or to have it color coordinate with your clothing for the day.
3. This one is my personal favorite: You can once again allow all of your hair out and curly and simply take two portions of your hair that is off on both sides of your hair; once you have a medium size piece you can french braid it across your head then stick a bobby pin in to hold it in place. Honestly this is quick and gives you a really nice look as far as Quick, Professional, and on the go.
