What are the best suit brands for people with an athletic build?

My measurements are 44" chest and 30" waist, so I have a fairly athletic build. I was wondering what are the best suit brands for my build? (Price is not the largest concern, as I am looking for the most high quality materials.) I am looking for OTR, not bespoke
Tip for best answer: M$1.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If price is not a concern then you are wasting your time in your search for off the rack. You should buy a custom made suit. The only thing that should keep you from it with your build is the price. Can you afford $895? If not then price is a big concern. If yes then buy a custom suit and perminently leave the search for an off the rack suit you will have to chop up to get to look half way decent. Anyone who tells you to buy an off the rack suit with your 14" drop does not know what they are talking about. The only way you could fit off the rack is with a separates program. Buy a 44 coat and a 32 pant. Have the sides taken in on the coat and the waist taken in on the pants. The 2" larger size in pants will give you a bit more room in the thigh. You made need to start with a 34 pant and do extra tailoring if you thighs are considerably large.

If you are really stuck on the idea of ready-made clothing and can do the $595-$795 price range let me know and I will help you. Take care.

Honestly, If you want a TRUE athletic build fit, you can find a few great Italian brands that give more attention to athletic builds, like Zegna mens suits, for instance. Look into it and let me know!

Try out Hugo Boss, as they make a suit that will fit an athletic build.

Depending on the brand I often get the athletic cut, but one brand I find the regular cut to fit extremely well is Banana Republic. They don't have the largest selection, but when they have a sale you can get a suit at a very reasonable price considering their quality. (I personally avoid the suits made in China and got one made in Turkey instead.)
