What are the best sites online to make a decent living or partially (100-300 a week or more), freelance writing or otherwise?

I have worked and am working at a few freelance sites where you can make a few dollars here or a few dollars there, most of which you have to put in many, many hours in to just make 5 to 15 dollars for one article. I don't have a problem putting the time into the work, I just would like to get paid for my time and wondered if anyone knew of some good paying freelance sites or any other types of sites online that I could look into. Thanks for all of your help in advance!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I was actually looking through some sites last night and talked to someone on this site as well.
It seems Associated Content and Suite 101 are quite good. There's also eHow. Make sure you check if they pay people in your country. Some are US-only and you won't make any money.

However, also remember with some sites you will be required to write up to 10 professional articles every 3 months, so if you don't have it in you to keep it up you won't qualify. Make sure you are really serious and can commit the time to do it.

For now, I will concentrate on Mahalo as I like the community, have no mandatory number of articles to write and can practice writing decent pages which I can also make a residual income from.

Demand Studios is the one you want to look at if you want to make quick money now. There is an application process, though, so be prepare with a resume and some example work! :)

You will have to write your butt off to make enough to live on at sites likes Associated Content, Helium. Edubook, Textbrokers, and Demand Studios. There are others to, definitely check out their sites and see if they would work for you. Some money is better than none. I write for a couple of them and have researched the others. I use AC consistently because it seems the most consistent income, but not much. Don't forget to query print publications. I think that is a much better way to make any money. Get started on a book if you have not already.

I think, rentacoder, odesk are great sites. But, why not go for some easy cash such as get paid to read, click or, do something?
