What are the best science and technology magazines or websites?

I'm actually looking for 2 separate categories here. I'd like one magazine or website that will allow me to read articles on theoretical science topics and a separate one that will have articles focused specifically on the application of new science/engineering discoveries into practical uses such as gadgets. If you know of one that covers both that would be great, but I was thinking two separate would be the best in order to get the best information. Thanks.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I enjoy Scientific American and Wired. I got a free subscription to Wired through MyCokeRewards by entering the numbers from inside my Diet Coke bottle caps. I browse Scientific American at my local library.

Subscribe to blogs and newsletters at the respective websites.
