This isn’t the low down you would get from a travel magazine. This isn’t the low down you would get if you googled the question where the top name went to the highest bidder. This is straight up from a fella that has lived in Denver most of his adult life and been to plenty of restaurants. I won’t lead you astray, and I’ll keep you at the places that are time tested.
Steaks- You aren’t going to beat the Capital Grille on Market St. located in downtown Denver. If you don’t want to head into the city, hit Del Fresco’s in the DTC off Orchard.
Burgers – The Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek North. And if you want to go off the beaten path, search out a place called Bud’s Burgers in Sedalia, and as the sign says, “Don’t ask for any damn fries.”
Mexican- I’ve become fond of the new Real De Minas. The location won’t wow you, but the food will, and it keeps it light on your checkbook.
Pizza – Hit the Mellow Mushroom at the Streets of Southglenn, and if you’re in the city, Wazee Supper Club off 14th.
