What are the best recipes for egg whites?
Forgive me if the answer is as simple as "You don't need the yolks for your noodles," but I'm getting ready to try to make my own Alfredo sauce. The recipe calls for an egg yolk. What can I make with the egg white that would go with the sauce?

Well I have a couple of ideas. I am not sure how many egg whites you have. If it just calls for one, then the best thing would be to fry it up. Honestly, it really wouldn't make a great deal. Probably wouldn't pay for heating up the pan. If you have a lot of egg whites I have some ideas.
Egg White Omelet:
2 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of flour
4 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of olive oil
Other spices and fillings of choice.
Blend the filling with the milk, and flour. Beat the egg whites together with the salt and spices. Place in a frying pan and cook on medium heat with the oil. Once the egg starts to set and cook, spoon over the filling. Cook the egg until you can flip it with a rubber spatula. Brown on each side, then serve warm.
You could also use the egg whites to make a meringue pie topping or meringue cookies. To make a meringue topping, you just simply beat the eggs with a bit of sugar. Then beat in a pinch of cream of tartar once the eggs peak. Spread over a cooked pie and brown in the oven. It's very easy. Another option would be to make an angel food cake. However, this takes about a dozen or more egg whites.
