Go to the FBO at your local airport. They usually have the skinny on the local planes for sale.

M$You could buy a jet card that would give you access to the specific type of aircraft you want or you could choose a program with more flexibility that would let you pick size or model of aircraft by trip. That way if you need a flight one day just for a few people or a short hop you can choose a Light jet model, and then if you have a larger party or long-haul flight lighter, you can choose a Mid, Super-Mid or Heavy without worrying that the availability might not be guaranteed or having to deal with interchange fees.
Sentient Jet offers a 'Membership Plus' card that offers a good range of flexibility and options. There's no asset risk like buying a jet or even a share of a jet, and you can choose by jet size or jet model on each trip. Rates are also very competitive and their customer service is top-notch:

I sadly don't have the money for this myself but if I did this would be the way I would go!
