What are the best non-fiction audiobooks?
The thing with audiobooks though is they vary a great deal in quality. Some good books are read in such a monotonous voice it's like listening to paint dry. Other times the sound quality is horrible and annoying.
On the other hand there are books that were hard going to read in paper form that come magically alive when read out loud by a great reader.
I have a pretty wide taste in books, and as well as many types of fiction I like non-fiction books too.
What do you think are the best non-fiction audiobooks?
I know that's a pretty wide area, but I didn't want to restrict people from making suggestions in categories I might not have thought to include.
Btw... I've got a couple of other questions open about audiobooks too:
What are the best crime and mystery audiobooks?
What are the best science fiction audiobooks?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Bill Bryson sounds like a good idea!
Glad I didn't narrow the field any further than non-fiction, cos I'd never have thought of this one.
