What are the best IRC clients for the Apple iPhone?

What IRC clients are most recommended for the iPhone? What are the pros and cons of each top client?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @horton, since @kidrice already mentioned mibbit, which I think is one of the best, I would like to add another IRC client which is also good for an iPhone.
This is IRChon which is a free IRC chat client software that you can use for your iPhone. IRChon is simple and has efficient functionality IRC chat client software that can connect to multi IRC servers at the same time. This app has a built-in WEB browser so you will be able to check out pages from chat URL or you post URL from built-in browser without rest starting the application.

It also supports photo uploading by using gyazo.com which is served by Dr. Toshiyuki Masui a former developer of iPhone

Moreover this free app has no limitation but it does have advertisement..

@horton,

When it comes to loading your iPhone with an IRC client, there are multiple applications to choose from.

The first program you should check out is Mibbit. Here's their website. This application allows you to connect to any IRC servers. In terms of advantages it allows for connection to multiple servers, automatic connection, and a reply notification. The only downside to the application is that it is not an iPhone optimized web app; however, it still runs smoothly. You can find a review of Mibbit here from appsafari.

Another option you have is Rooms,an IRC Client offered at the iTunes app store. Below is a screenshot of Rooms. There are over 100 reviews of the application at iTunes. The program is being touted as easy to use and easy to configure.

Your final option is Colloquy. Colloquy is an irc client with multiple features (it is the msot sold IRC client at the iTunes App Store). You can visit the Colloquy Website for a full comprehensive list of its features.

Hope this helps!
