What are the Best Hosted shopping cart platforms that I can use on a small website i'm building.

I'm looking for something I can easily add like a widget or an iframe onto the site so I can take credit cards and maybe Paypal for payments. The site will sell small Tea related items in a gallery. Less and 40 items.

Must be:
inexpensive,
work with the IIS/Windows Server hosting platform i'm using.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

1)
My mom runs a small craft fair business.  She makes things (think Martha Stewart) and sells them at local community events.

She already has a credit card terminal from her bank and adding the "Internet Processing" feature costs about $20 per month.

Basically, her bank has a hosted shopping cart.  When someone orders online, the descriptions and values of the items are passed to the bank and they process it for her in an iFrame.

2)
Paypal has a shopping cart feature that works really well:
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/xcl/rec/sc-intro-outside

It's hosted and will allow you to easily sell your tea online.

It's been around a long time and is well refined. With paypal, you can accept any credit card. Google Checkout is a really nice option (I use it whenever I can), but more people recognize the paypal name when thinking about payments.

3)
E-junkie is a really good, easy to use option. It can be found at http://www.e-junkie.com/.

Ejunkie lists the following features:
Easy to use, centrally managed service
Digital storage & delivery for files & codes
Supports multiple payment processors
Copy-paste Buy Now and Shopping Cart buttons
Supports variants for tangible products
Shipping and packaging calculator
Sales tax and VAT calculator
Packaged products
Inventory management
Product promotion
Discount codes
Affiliate management
Autoresponder, updates & newsletters
Sales tracking, built in support for Google Analytics
Customization
Download link renewals
Easy integration with 3rd party and custom services
Logs & e-mail notifications
Globalized

The major advantage to E-Junkie is that you can accept all forms of credit cards and various online payment methods. If you're planning on selling your tea "across the pond", remember that folks on that side of the world don't use credit cards the same way, but will gladly use one of the alternative methods that E-Junkie provides.

I hope that this helps!

I'm a pro webmaster. I have setup a few small, medium and a couple of large e-commerce shops. As mentioned, one of my projects has been for my mom who sells (somewhat) similar merchandise.

Check out Google Checkout's integrated shopping cart.

Google Checkout has a list of hosted solutions.

One solution that is good is the FatFreeCart that works with Google Checkout. It's a simple, free cut and paste solution. It's free, you can't beat that!

Google Checkout is supposedly not as expensive as PayPal, so if you are looking to cut costs and get a great shopping cart service at the same time, you should really check this out.

According to the FatFreeCart, it's a FREE Shopping Cart for selling tangible items with Google Checkout, which means you can sell your tea related items.

Google Checkout is a checkout process that you provide on your website to enable your customers to buy from you quickly and securely, using a single username and password. And once they make a purchase, you can use Checkout to charge their credit cards, process their orders, and receive payment in your bank account.

Attract more leads. Buyers that use Google Checkout actively look to buy from merchants that offer it on their websites. If you use Google search advertising, you can help these potential buyers find you by displaying the Google Checkout badge on your search advertisements.

Convert more leads into sales. A fast, secure checkout process helps persuade shoppers to buy on your site and buy more often.

A couple of other choices that you can check out are:
oscommerce.com and zen-cart.com, both of these are free. I'm still just a rookie at this myself so I'm unsure whether they will work with the hosting platform that you mentioned but they seem to be worth investigating.
