Many people think that miniature poodles make excellent dogs for elderly people. As well as the breeds Boston Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Pomeranian, schnauzer and Shih Tzus.
I think it would be great she could get one that is a bit older, gentle and small. The energy level of an older dog will be less.
