What are the best destinations for a honeymoon?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The best destination for your honeymoon often depends on how the lead in to the wedding has gone. If you have been frantic, caught up with family and planning, you will likely want to go someplace relaxing. If you have had a fairly easy transition into wedded bliss you might want to do something a bit more active. But no matter what you do you should make sure you do not over-schedule the outing. You will likely want to be able to spend time alone as it is your first vacation as a married couple.

If you are looking to save money, consider going to locations where the dollar will go a long way. Places like Bali, Costa Rica, and Prague all offer great exchange rates. You can stay in high end hotels and spend less money. If you go to prime honeymoon locations like Maui or Fiji or France you will likely find things to be a bit more expensive. You can always look into getting all-inclusive prices which will make the planning for costs easier, which can be a nice break after putting together a wedding.

When choosing a honeymoon destination, Jamaica stands as one of the best. Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril are the main locations for honeymooning couples in Jamaica. Among these, Negril offers a casual, easygoing atmosphere and an exotic seven-mile long beach. The beaches are known as the "Capital of Casual" for sunbathing and offering the utmost privacy.

Hello @mrtwitter!
I found the most exciting destinations for a honeymoon at skyscanner.net.
These are:

1. Huvafen Fushi, Maldives -this is quite expensive but it would be worth it. It has private bungalows with glass above turquoise waters.

2. Safari Holidays, Botswana - this place is abundant with undisturbed wildlife. You can stay at luxury camps like Mombo Camp, Vumbura Plains Camp, Jao camp and the highly recommended, Okavango Delta.

3. Galapagos Island - is an archipelago of the coast of Ecuador and represent one of the wonders of the natural world. You will be treated with the wildlife wonders and one of the best scuba diving on earth.

4. Dubai, UAE - if you want luxury, one of the top hotels to stay at Dubai will be the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab which has become one of the best known building in the world. The hotel offer extraordinary service and will pamper your every need.

5. Mustique, Caribbean is very exclusive and stay in style at the Cotton House Hotel and choose from a range of beautiful accommodation with stunning views of the blue ocean.
