What are the best creams for diaper rash?

When I go to the store, on the baby isle I see several different types of diaper rash ointments. What do you feel is the best to purchase and use when your baby suffers from a diaper rash? Are there any ingredients that you should try to avoid when shopping around for these creams? Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

We've had pretty good luck with Desotin - then again, as soon as we see anything that even looks like the beginning of diaper rash, we hit it immediately. Fortunately, we haven't had any diaper rash, but we're unsure if it's because of the Desotin or because we get it early.

Also, knowing what diaper rash is helps: if there's too much moisture in their diaper, the friction creates a rash. That said, after changing diapers and using the wipes (or after bathtime especially), let the baby's bottom dry really well before putting the cream on and then the new diaper on. The dryness will kill that mean old rash and your baby will be MUCH happier!!

HI,

Well there are many brands for diaper rashes cream. Personally, I like Himalaya products which we used for my niece. There are many brands available in market which are good. I listened about it.
