I'm sorry that this question is just now getting answered. I realize you asked it for the holidays 2010, but since that time span has already passed, I'm going to go ahead and answer your question with up to date information. I'll answer this by giving you a list and mini synopsis of current comedies that are either currently in movie theaters or movies that will soon be playing in theaters.
March 4, 2011 - Take Me Home Tonight - starring Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Teresa Palmer, and Michelle Trachtenberg is a comedy set in the late 1980's. As the summer comes to an end for the young characters, they attend a crazy out of control party to celebrate the last night of what they feel is their youth.
March 18, 2011 - Paul – starring Simon Pegg, Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver is a comedy film about sci-fi comic book loving nerds who head out in an RV to Nevada. Their destination is Area 51, of course. This promises to be a great comedy.
April 1, 2011 – Hop – starring Russell Brand, James Marsden and Elizabeth Perkins. This is one comedy that is coming to theaters this Spring that I personally want to see. What could possibly be funnier than a driver hitting the Easter Bunny and having the responsibility to saving the entire holiday? The Easter Bunny turns out to be the worst house guest on Earth and because of this one hilarious moment after another unfolds. Another point of interest is that the movie’s director is Tim Hill who also directed Alvin and The Chipmunks.
I hope these reviews help! Have fun and don't forget the popcorn!
