The one movie I never miss is A Christmas Story. This classic from 1982 is shown every Christmas Eve and Christmas day on TNT. Starring Darren McGavin, Peter Billingsly and Melinda Dillon, this movie is hilarious no matter how many times I watch it. I always enjoy this after my Christmas dinner.
Its a Wonderful Life, from 1946 stars Jimmy Stewart and is another great one that is shown every year. Another classic, from just a year later is Miracle on 34th Street, which stars Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood.
I have seen versions of A Christmas Carol that I enjoy, but the best is the original from 1951. The first time I watched that was in 9th grade English class. Alastair Sim was excellent is his performance as Ebenezer Scrooge.
Although this isn't a movie, per say, I love A Charlie Brown Christmas. I never get tired of watching the half hour animated show created by the legendary Charles Shultz with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts characters. I also enjoy the cartoon, How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
There are plenty of other good ones, but those are my favorites of all time.

M$These five movies are in the top of the list of classic Christmas movies. They return each year and gain new fans from the younger viewers. These are the timeless classics. From there you might go to the newer classics such as Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas from 1966 and Frosty the Snowman from 1969. Each year new movies come out, but the timeless classics live on.
