What are the best books for a 7-year old child?

I am an avid reader of books. I love to read books since I was in grade school. I then started reading pocketbooks and eventually novels when I was in high school. Reading helped me a lot to travel to different places and immerse in other country's culture all in the comfort of my bedroom. I would like to encourage my child to love reading so I thought it would be best to buy books which would really interest her. What are the best books that you can recommend for her age? Thanks!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

What you are doing is a vital step that all parents should undertake to enhance their child life. I give you five stars and two thumbs up. As stated in your question you wish to buy books she would be interested in. What i would advise you to do is simply asked her what she would like to read if an answer is given then you can proceed with the books she prefer. Fortunately for me when i was younger i love to read books just like you. My favorite books where

1.Hardy Boys
2.Nancy Drew
3.Famous Five (Enid Blyton series)

I would also recommend that you find our you child reading iq although she is 7 it is highly likely that she might be a able to easily read books for her age and find them boring and require something more in advance to quench her thirst. Or probably the opposite she might be only capable of reading books below her age.

I have read Berenstainbear books to hundreds of 7 year old and they all find it very interesting and very entertaining. These book are quite appropriate for that age group and it teaches several positive character traits. This age group loves reading these books. So I recommend the entire series to you.
