What are the advantages of using a Swiss ball instead of a computer chair?
I have heard that doing this is beneficial, but I am not sure what the advantages are or how it works. And would using one of the seats pictured nullify the benefits?

The Swiss Ball is used as an exercise ball and used instead of the computer chair.
These are the benefits of using this:
1. It will give you proper spine alignment. An exercise ball is not stable and your body needs to try to balance itself on it. Having the perfect spinal posture is the easiest way to balance this, thus, your body will automatically try to align itself into a proper posture. This will help improve your spinal health and lower the chances of you having back pain.
2. It will cause you to change your position every now and then. This will reduce the damage caused by prolonged sitting in the same position.
3. You will be able to do mini-workouts whenever you want without standing up and more convenient and chances are you are going to do it more resulting in better health.
4. This will improve your balance. Once you are sitting on an unstable surface all day it will improve your sense of balance and better reactions of your muscle.
5. You body primarily make use of your abdominal muscle to help compensate for the change in balance. So you are in a way making your abdominal muscles work out by contracting. This may not sound a lot but since you are sitting for a lot of hours on it then it can significantly result in strengthening of abdominal muscles.
6. Using the exercise ball will help improve your circulation.
7. It has been proven that staying in one position will make you feel more tired. But if you are using this exercise ball you will feel more energized after you finish your work.
8. You will be able to burn more calories since you have more movement compared to sitting on a computer chair.
9. It comes cheap and cheaper than ergonomic chairs.
10. It is fun.
