What are the 7 Wonders of the Modern Age?
In the ancient world, these would have been works like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Great Pyramid on the Giza Plateau, the Colossus statue at the island of Rhodes, the Great Lighthouse at Alexandria, etc etc.
Now here's the tricky part. I'm interested in finding out what YOU, the answerer, think the 7 wonders of the world WE live in today is. I'm not interested in finding out what Wikipedia.org or any other site says the wonders of the world are, just your own subjective opinion. You can use citations from websites to support your answer, but the actual list has to be populated by your own opinion. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing your answers. :D

Pyramids of Egypt
They are the only surviving wonder from the original seven wonders of the ancient world. It's daunting to think about how such massive structures could have been built. The Great Pyramid was also the tallest building in the world for over 3,800 years. Take that Taipei 101.
Ancient City of Angkor
The most famous and largest temple is Angkor Wat. However, temple after temple surround this edifice to form an ancient city. The city also consisted of giant man made lakes known as baray. The largest one is still filled with water and measures 8 km. long and 2 km. wide.
Great Wall of China
In reality, the Great Wall is in fact a series of walls stretching across ancient China's northern border. The most famous section is one which was built during the Ming Dynasty. If all the walls, trenches and defensive barriers are included it would stretch for almost 9,000 km. Apparently, it can also be made out with the naked eye from space.
Sydney Opera House
Beautifully situated in Sydney Harbour, this modern structure is so innovative and striking that it has become the symbol of Australia and Sydney. It's an excellent feet in urban architecture, but one which blends in perfectly with the natural waters of Sydney Harbour. Jorn Utzen deserves the acclaim for being the architect of this structure and putting up with all the mess associated with its construction.
Recommendation: The opera house's exterior is the real sight. The interior is nothing too special or innovative; so if you visit, don't bother taking the grossly overpriced tour of interior.
Tate Modern
Not only is the art collection excellent, but the building and location itself are interesting. It seems quite fitting to have a modern art collection within the walls of a massive brick building which used to be a power plant. The art itself is often grappling with life in the modern industrial world. It's also a fun place to visit with huge indoor slides and nice river walk out front. The exterior of the building would be deemed ugly by most, but this style of building is actually a curiosity to people outside of London.
Tikal
I've been told that visiting Tikal is an other worldly experience since it emerges from the mist and jungle as you approach. It's also supposed to be just as impressive as the more famous and more visited ruins at Chitzen Itza. Meso-American pyramids and ruins are amazing and have traditionally been less appreciated than other famous sights, so including Tikal seems appropriate.
The Acropolis
Speaking of famous sights, the Acropolis is one of the most famous in the western world. For good reason too. It sits at the heart of Athens, the civilization which is considered the greatest fount of knowledge in the West. Not to mention, it's also beautiful and ah inspiring.
Here are some others which I really wanted to put on my list, but they will
Neuschwanstein Castle
Even though it was build by a mad king for no practical reason, it probably is the most beautiful castle in the world, inside and outside.
Statue of Liberty
I love for what it stands and the fact that it represents the principles of two countries, the United States and France.
Eiffel Tower
It has to be the most identifiable structure in the world.
Machu Picchu
It looks awesome and had to be quite a feat to build.
Easter Island
It's so remote and so mysterious looking.
Borobudur Temple
Most people have never heard of this amazing Buddhist temple on the island of Java. It's more of a shrine with levels to walk around which contain thousands of stone carvings. It's the single largest Buddhist structure in the world.
International Space Station
Its impressive that it's been under construction for over a decade and has so many countries involved.
Golden Gate Bridge
It's probably the most beautiful bridge in the world.
Brooklyn Bridge
Quite an amazing achievement for when it was built, and it fits into New York perfectly.
My own brain and a few specifics from Wikipedia

M$As a tribute to modern society's ability to achieve the unachievable, reach unreachable heights, and scorn the notion of "it can't be done," in 1994 ASCE sought nominations from across the globe for the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. The chosen projects pay tribute to the greatest civil engineering achievements of the 20th century.
The Seven Wonders of the Modern World:

M$So you are limiting it to greatest civil engineering stuff. Not the greatest wonders of the world. Civil engineering is no longer wondrous to human beings.

There is nothing wondrous about architecture anymore.
