According to the Mayo Clinic, there is no test available today that can confirm that a person has Alzheimer's disease. That said, there are a few signs and symptoms that may indicate that an individual has Alzheimer's disease. When a person starts to develop Alzheimer's disease you may notice mild forgetfulness or they may seem to get confused frequently. As the disease progresses, you may notice that they repeat questions and sentences over and over again. They may forget about appointments and even important family events that are planned. Forgetting conversations is another symptom of the disease. They may also misplace possessions, such as keys, wallet or purse. As the diseases continues to progress, you may notice that they cannot recall names of basic, everyday objects and even forget family members name.
If you notice any of these signs and symptoms, please see a physician.
