What are some tips to get rid of eye bags?

I have big eyes and unfortunately noticeable eye bags at times. They often show after a crying bout in the evening and when I sleep late at night. I often watched DVD movies before I sleep and I can't help bu cry whenever the movie is very sentimental. My husband often teased me about this. What are some tips to get rid of eye bags in the morning? I tried putting cucumber on it and it works too. Aside from cucumber what are some good remedies for it?

There are several things that can be done to reduce the effect of eye bags, and to also help prevent and git rid of them.
One of the most common is to actually get a regular tea bag and press it on top of your eye and let it sit there for about twenty minutes, make sure it is damp but not soaking. This will help [pull out all of the negative cells and toxins taht are creating these bags and also circles.

Oh, this is such a good question! I'll be happy to answer in any way that I can.

First, I would like to ask you to consider whether you have allergies. I notice that the members of my family who have allergies---and particularly asthma---tend to have more of a problem with eye bags than others. I am included in this category.

For some reason, one of the symptoms of the asthma is eye bags. When we get the asthma under control with allergy medicine, preventative medicine, and rescue inhalers, the eyes will look better.

However, I do have a few tricks that I use when we're in the middle of our asthma situation. One trick, of course, is to use cucumbers as you have mentioned. Second, take large spoons from your silverware drawer and place them on top of your closed eyes. The coolness of the back of the spoons will decrease the swelling.

Another trick is to use warm water to dampen a tea bag. Squeeze the excess liquid out of the tea bag and keep on your eyes for about 10 minutes.

I hope these tricks help!

I am in the same boat! Beginning to get bags under my eyes. I have found the best remedy is believe it or not, just good sleep. When I am sleep deprived the bags come out loud and proud. When I get good sleep I barely notice them. I also use a face mask. You can cool it first and then rest with the gel mask laying on your eyes. It feels refreshing and really seems to work. I have tried several other treatments, over the counter and home remedies and really do not believe any have worked for me. Some tighten the skin for a moment but thats the extent of it. I may be way off but I have been drinking plenty of water lately and it may be my imagination, but it seems to be helping as well.
