Portland Saturday Market is a wonderful destination when visiting Portland, Oregon. It is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike and has something fun to do and see for just about everyone.

Saturday Market is open from March 5th until December 24th every year on Saturdays and Sundays, and this year the market is celebrating its 38th year. The Saturday Market is located right downtown in Portland with easy access for bike riders, pedestrians and even has a Tri-Met/MAX stop right in the middle of the market for those wanting to make use of the great public transportation that Portland has to offer.

If you choose to drive, parking can be tricky on the weekends, however there are several Smart Park facilities around Saturday Market as well as on-street parking if you are lucky enough to find a spot.

For a listing of the vendors and live music acts you can go directly to the Saturday Market website at www.portlandsaturdaymarket.com.

Some great tips for a trip to the market are to go early, when they first open, to avoid massive crowds as well as get a close-in parking spot. If the weather is nice, you will want to bring along some sunscreen because you will be outdoors all day with all of the wonderful things to see and do in and around the market.
