What are some successful ways to get your child to stop wetting the bed?

I have two older kids, both were potty trained by the age of 2 and so I have no experience with this subject. My niece is having a hard time getting her 5 year old to stop wetting the bed.

Please share, what are some successful ways to get your child to stop wetting the bed?

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have empathy, do not give your child drinks 2 hours before bed and be sure they use the potty before going to bed. In the beginning you may want to wake your child up after sleeping 3 hours and put them potty and then back to sleep.

At a young age, it is to be expected. However there are many adolescents and teenagers struggling with these issues as well. In my family, including my own son, it could be a physical condition such as a small bladder. There are many medications and some protocols one can use under the supervision of a physician. But please, be patient with the child. They may not be able to control it.
