What are some of your favorite classic arcade games from the 70's and 80's?

Show screenshots if possible.
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'll always remember two of my favorites:

Tron

I remember playing this game before it hit the streets. The controls were so different from the normal fare...

Dragon's Lair

I was SO proud of myself when I actually beat the game in the arcade. I was into it!

my all time favorite - Defender. With the right control set it is fantastic.

i've been into 8bit games lately, but mostly, i really enjoy Balloon Fight, Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong Country 2... some of these might be from early 90's rather than 70's - 80's though...

Karate Champ. I played that game every day the summer I was 8 years old. I could walk up to a machine today and remember the controls for probably 80% of the moves.

Well, we all had 'pacman' fever in the 80s but for earlier games, I loved pinball. I could use a quarter on topspeed and literally be there for hours.

Then of course there was poll position :P
"prepare to qualify" :)
