You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It monitors the auction house to show you what items are going for, whether you will make a profit, or if you are paying too much. Basically if you are seriously playing WoW, you have auctioneer.

This addon shows you exactly where to go for your missions. One of my dislikes of WoW was having to carefully read the mission & then tracking down the mission's location. The addon not only tells you where to go, it also gives you an idea of how difficult is.
Those are the only two I used. If you are a 'tank' in the game then you will want a threat meter which will tell you how focused the enemies are on you compared to your team.
Basically, the place to go for addon's & their rankings is www.curse.com

M$1. Recount: If you're in a raid, this answers the question of "how was my dps?" Also, keeps track of the top mobs hit, the spells used, and a bunch of other great statistics.
2. WoWHead Client: Because almost everyone uses WoWHead, having the client keeps track of mob information and quests, and then uploads it to WoWHead once you're done. The more people who use it, the better the info on the site is.
3. Deadly Boss Mods: Raiding can be ugly. Raiding in PUGs is scary. This gets rid of some of the scary by warning you about boss cooldowns, phase changes, and other elements of boss fights that could otherwise kill you or wipe your group - both in dungeons and raids.

M$1. deadly boss mods: if u raid or in a raiding guild they more or less make this one a you must have or no go situation. it is really not an essential mod if you know the ins and outs of the fights and bosses but it makes it easier for raid leaders to tell the raid what is going to happen next and where it will happen. like when a boss uses a certain move or raid debuff it says who has it and if you should get away or close to the affected player it says when raid wiping moves
