What are some of the most unique/useful/interesting things people do with the Twitter API and RSS feed?

I've had some pretty wild ideas myself. I'd like to be able add a Twitter RSS feed to a webcam feed.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

One weird idea by a NYU grad student: Using Twitter as a fetal kick detector. Whenever the unborn baby kicks his/her mother, a wearable device picks up the movement using piezo sensors. A Java application analyzes the signal and posts it to Twitter using the Twitter API.

The inventor and his wife as well as a description of the project can be found at: http://portfolio.menscher.com/itp/kickbee

The unborn baby can be followed in Twitter: http://twitter.com/kickbee

the fetus' own Twitter account: http://twitter.com/kickbee

The Twitter API is used by third-party clients such as Twitterrific, Twhirl, Facebook, etc to send and receive tweets. In fact, 44% of Twitter activity uses the API or RSS, rather than the Twitter website. The website FriendFeed uses the Twitter RSS feed, and accounts for 44% of FriendFeed's activity.

I like to use Twitter for following breaking news. Two good ones to follow are @nytimes and @breakingnewson.

There's also an opportunity to follow events as they happen to real people. During Mumbai attacks many tweeted during attacks.

I like the services that leverage the location-based and real-time nature of Twitter.

Two neat projects are Spy: http://spy.appspot.com/ and this untitled app: http://hottieornottie.cloudapp.net/
I also like http://www.twitterlocal.net/

Retweet Radar is cool for meme-tracking: http://www.retweetradar.com/
