What are some of the best family movies?
I need some movie ideas that are entire family will enjoy, kids and adults. The movie suggestions can be older or newer. What are some of the best family movies?

I find the family comedies made by Disney in the 60's and 70's i.e. the Shaggy DA, original Escape to Witch Mountain, Apple Dumpling Gang, very kid friendly - more so than the current Disney stuff. Look for movies made while Walt was still alive. Kurt Russell made a lot of funny ones, that still have plots so the adults aren't too bored. Also anything made in the 40's, even if it isn't specifically made for kids, such as the Thin man series or Fred Astaire will be kid friendly, I like Alfred Hitchcock for the suspense - and there's nothing in his movies - even the murder movies that would offend a kid.
As for newer movies, the Shrek series is funny and not to boring for adults.
