Depending on the age of the children, Tucson offers lots of activities for kids. Outdoor activities abound here. We have miles and miles of hiking trails, recreational leagues for soccer, hockey, softball, baseball, football and more. There are numerous parks, including Reid Park, which also has a nice zoo perfect for children. Aqua Caliente Park off of Soldier Trail at Roger is an oasis in the desert with natural springs and ducks and turtles galore. They also have great picnic areas.
The Sonora Desert Museum is a great place to take kids for a day. Native species are housed in natural habitat settings in a spectacular scenic location on the West side of town. Not far from there is the International Wildlife Museum, which is an educational museum for children. There is also the Children's Museum located at 200 S 6th Avenue, downtown. Hands-on activities will keep the kids occupied!
