Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Discovering a new web site in a given field of interest is a combination of having a good search strategy and learning how to use alternative ways of divining new information.

Lets start with search engines. First of all remember to keep your search terms short, and open. Being too specific restricts the results. However this only gets good results, not necessarily new results. To do this, start open and gradually add key words until you find something new.

Learn also the command line options in Google for example adding a - in front of a search term also returns its synonyms - expanding your search using words you might not have thought of. This also applies to other commands such as related and using the wild card asterix.

Combine the little used commands with some well chosen search phrases and this will help find new things.

Also don't forget that different search engines will yield different results so remember to also search on sites such as Mahalo and Bing

You're already aware of discovery websites such as Reddit and StumbleUpon, but why not use RSS feeds to help out. Join FriendFeed, and join a group that covers your subject of choice - you'll soon find new websites popping up. Why not use take the RSS output of serveral services and filter their content into an RSS reader (Google Reader is good for this) and soon you'll have a searchable flow of useful content coming into you.

That's true that there no better site to search any web element. But you need some strategy to search.Example imagine you want to find a site like mahalo.Search by this key words "write and pay" or "give answer and get paid".You will see a very list but if you want to find separately any things you should filter these. You can use filter or use manual filter, imagine you want a site about "apple computer" if you type apple search engine will show you sites about apple computer and ipod both but you can filter by typing these words"apple -ipod"then search engine will minus ipod sites.
You can learn more from these links ......

I have two approaches to this, participate community type sites and subscribe to RSS feeds of newletters and blogs as you find them.
  1. Mahalo is a good place to get links deemed useful for an area of interest. Twine is a social bookmarking site that is still relatively young. You subscribe to 'areas of interest' to get recommendations and you subscribe to twines where people submit items with comments on their usefulness.
  2. Subscribe to RSS feeds for blogs, newletters, topic alerts from Google and tags from sites like Del.icio.us. You will links for these from step 1.

I use Google Reader for all my RSS feeds. It is easy to organize feeds there. When you find yourself a bit oversubscribed, you just put subscriptions in the waste. Much easier than subscribing to your e-mail.

I use a combination of Twitter and RSS. If you can find some interesting people on Twitter who are interested in the same things as you and post links that they find, this can be a great resource. RSS is great because it allows you to follow and search through large numbers of blogs that are specific to your interests at the same time. I use Google Reader for this.

What your asking is not what to use but how to use it. There are many pages of on the net that are excluded from most search engines by policy. There are many library catalogs and articles database that cannot be accessed by search engine spiders. This material is the Invisible Web. The following links should help in your searches.

If we are talking of searching the web for anything, google is the best search engine to locate any interest you want to find. you get more options on the sites found all you have to do is typing the right key words . example: ebook , or movies. high chance you'll find the best site and best content on the subject matter. one requirement of google for high page rank site are the content of the website. so if it's in the 1-10 page of google it got to be good but if not what you are looking for, just keep moving the pages.
