What are some good ways to prepare for the GMAT?

Tip for best answer: M$0.37
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi! would like to tell ya, The phrase “standardized test” has been known to strike fear into the hearts of many students. The good news is that you can do something about it.
Take the test!
Using a practice test, duplicate the test center conditions. Seat yourself in front of a computer in a quiet, private area. Time yourself, just as you will be timed when you take the real GMAT. Remember, you are allowed two optional breaks-- but only two.
After this simulation, you will be able to judge how prepared you really are.
Note: The administrators of the GMAT used to let you take a practice exam at an actual testing center. This practice has since been discontinued.
To get your hands on a practice test, find a good GMAT prep book or sign up for a GMAT prep course. You can also find free or low-priced GMAT practice tests online. Here are a few places to try:
www.examville.com
800Score.com
Crack-GMAT.com

The best thing to do is practice and really know your stuff. For me examville.com works the best. Lots of timed practice tests and answers, prep classes and study aids.

I'd recommend Manhattan GMAT prep course:
( http://www.manhattangmat.com/). The Manhattan GMAT consists of a 9 week prep course taught by very qualified instructors. The course also includes lots of relevant study material and online access to adaptive practice exams. If you need help and structure preparing for the GMAT, the Mahattan GMAT is a good way to go.
