What are some good movies for preteen girls?

My niece’s birthday is coming up and her mom requested that I bring some DVDs over for her and her friends to watch at a slumber party. I am really out of the loop on these type of things. I don’t want my choices to be lame, but I don’t want to pick something that is unfitting. Some mild language would be okay, but I want to avoid anything stronger. They don’t necessarily have to be new movies, perhaps some older ones that they wouldn’t have seen.

These lists of pre-teen movies would surely interest them:

1. Ladyhawke starring: Matthew Broderick - this is a 1985 fantasy film. The setting is in medieval Europe where a thief named "The Mouse" escapes a prison dungeon of Aquila and sets a chain of events that may save or destroy a beautiful woman and a brave captain. These couple are lover and are doomed to be separated by a curse invoked by the corrupt and jealous Bishop of Aquilla. The woman by day becomes a hawk while at night the captain becomes a black wolf.

2. A Walk To Remember, starring Mandy Moore. This movie is a love story and tearjerker. Pre teens would surely love watching this. My 12-year old daughter's favorite movie plus great soundtracks too.

3. The Princess Diaries starring Julie Andrews - this movie is very entertaining especially for teens. A young teen age and ordinary girl becomes an instant princess. Full of fun scenes.

4. Mrs. Doubtfire - starring Robin Williams - I saw this movie way back in college and I enjoyed this movie very much. It left me laughing and sad at times too. Robin is great as he disguised himself as a woman in this movie, made me remember the movie "Tootsie".
