What are some good ideas for inexpensive or homemade Christmas gifts that don't seem overly cheap?

Tip for best answer: M$5.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You could cook some Christmas related treat like cookies or pie, whoever receives the gift will see that you put the time and effort into the making a gift, plus they get something yummy they can enjoy.

While I don't disagree with this answer, I can't help but think of the Friends episode where Monica decides to give everyone cookies--with a less than positive result.

I started a tradition in my family about 10 years ago. Every one in my family gets a tray full of goodies. I usually go to the Dollar Tree and get plastic trays shaped like a tree, Santa or a snowman. These are $1.00 and they get to use them over and over again.
I tried not doing it one year and I really thought my family was going to disown them. There is something about receiving cookies and candy homemade that makes people so happy!

This is actually a great tradition I started because my daughter and her daughter are now involved in it.
