What are some good 4th of July recipes?
Whether it be appetizers, desserts, pasta, salad or main meals I would love to hear your favorites! I am going to cook on the grill but I can prepare foods the day before! Ingredients:
Chickens, all-purpose flour, salt, paprika, pepper, cooking
oil and water (all to party size and taste)
How-to:
Set out a Dutch oven or a large, heavy skillet with cover.
Put oil (at least 1/2 in. depth) and set to medium heat.
Cut chickens into serving size pieces. Rinse and pat dry
with absorbent paper.
Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper together. Put other
seasonings if you like. Coat the mixture on the chicken.
When the skillet is ready, place the chicken (skin side
down) carefully in the oil. Turn pieces as necessary. When
chicken is evenly brown reduce heat and add a little water
(few tablespoon).
Cover skillet. Cook for 25-40 minutes. Check if it's well-
cooked by piercing with fork. Uncover the last 10 minutes.
Now serve in baskets lined with paper or cloth napkins.

4 eggs (boiled & sliced)
1 cup mayonaise
2 TBSP mustard
1 small jar pimentos
2 tsps celery seed
1/3 cup Sweet salad cubes (or sweet relish)
Salt to suit your taste
Black pepper to suit your taste.
Peel and dice the potatoes, then place in 6 quart pan. Cover with water, bring to boil, reduce heat to medium and cook until potatoes can be pierced easily with a fork, then drain. Cut boiled, peeled, cooled eggs into small pieces add to potatoes. Add all other ingredients and stir till well mixed. Salad can be served warm or cold. Refrigerate leftover portions promptly.
Fruit Salad
1 small jar marshmallow cream
8 oz sour cream
4 granny smith apples
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup grapes (red/purple)
1 cup walnuts
In a large bowl mix the sour cream and marshmallow cream using the medium setting on your mixer. Cut apple into cubes (removing the core first) Stir all ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to serve.
