Welcome to the greatest city in the world! Ok, Ok… Top 5. But, Colorado is the top state in the lower 48.
So, you want to know what’s great to see in Denver, Colorado? If you’re specific to the city and can’t make the drive to the mountains, anywhere, which I would highly recommend for the fresh air alone, but I digress… If you’re looking for a good time in the city, hit Lower Downtown – “LoDo” to the locals. Start on The 16th Street Mall and work your way to Coors Field. You’ll find shopping and restaurants. Take a walk off the beaten path and head to 18th and Wynkoop to the Wynkoop Brewing Company to have some delicious grub and some amazing hand crafted brews. Pay attention to the signs because many of the buildings are historic landmarks.
If you want to spend the money, and live like you’re a millionaire, hit Cherry Creek. You’ll find a great mall and better restaurants in the surrounding area.
If the kids are in tow, you can’t be the Denver Zoo or the Denver Children’s Museum.
If you have the time, head northwest to Boulder to embrace the flat irons. Or, head due west to Morrison to see the Red Rocks and the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a must for any fan of music. And from there, go North, up the road from there is Golden, Colorado where you can find The Coors Brewing Company.
If you’re looking to save, the city is full of parks and recreation, and the foothills have a ton of hiking trails.
All you need is a couple days to see what all the residents see; this is a great place to be.
