What are some excellently reviewed fantasy novels?
Since Harry Potter is concluded what is the next hot fantasy novel out there? I heard that the Percy Jackson series was really good, so would you recommend this if I liked Harry Potter?

The Percy Jackson series is written for teenagers; so if you are one, then go for it. Content wise, it cannot compare to Harry Potter. The depth that J.K Rowling has injected in her Harry Potter series is missing in the Percy Jackson series. However, having said that, the Percy Jackson series is still pretty good. It is a nice blend of action and fantasy. You could try watching the first Percy Jackson movie (Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) and then deciding for yourself.
The hottest fantasy series (according to popular opinion) is A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. It has a very complex and dark plot; it is not recommended if you like your fantasy to be sunshine and roses. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is also very popular, and suitable for teenagers.
