Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The arthropods constitute over 90% of the animal kingdom and are classified in the phylum Arthropoda. They are distinguished from other animals by:

1.an exoskeleton (a skeleton on the outside of the body)
2.body divided into distinct parts
3.jointed legs and appendages
4.bilateral symmetry (both sides of the body are the same)

Arthropods contain the greatest diversity of all of the invertebrate animals. Scientists have identified over 750 000 kinds of arthropods (over 350 000 of them are beetles!).

Some examples of arthropods are crabs, insects, lice, shrimp, spiders, scorpions, centipedes and millipedes. Arthropods are found in more habitats than any other group of animals. Arthropods have many adaptations that allow them to survive in very different habitats (oceans, lakes, forest, underground, dessert, and more
