M$So because of no slaughtering, only dairy and its non cooked kind was available. Milk, farmer cheeses, in some cases eggs. So tradition dictates a dairy diet. and those things that woudl not be considerdd meat from an animal. sucha s almonds, olives, fruits like dates figs, sesame seed cakes etc were all that was eaten while we learned of the laws and the torah.
On Kashruth law: or kashruth halacha Cheesy Tuna Casserole would not be considered Kosher by any means. You are combining milk and some sort of meat.
