What are some cool websites?

Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Beside all of the fun and games sites, if you are interested in starting your own business, you should take some time to learn about franchising. Franchising is a great way to buy into an established business system. Plus, there are tons of different industries to choose from. Also, there are franchise portals like http://www.getintofranchising.com where they have franchise profiles, articles and blogs to check out.

I __Love__ The Onion.
I don't think I could swallow most national or world news without the satire of The Onoin. ....+1
Here are some of my toolbar bookmarks.. The Onion is front and center.. one of the first sites I go to every day.

Never use the net without it.

The Library of congress has a website where you can read the bills and journals of the U.S. Congress fro 1784-1885. It is images of the exact pages. Very cool. The actual word for word argumentation of Congress on every bill having to do with slavery as well as any other topic. Fascinating reading.

My favorite new visual and semantic search site is http://www.spezify.com/. Truly a new way to display search results.

http://www.spezify.com/#/jason%20calacanis
http://www.spezify.com/#/2010%20grammy%20awards

Try a few searches and see what you think. Navigate with keyboard arrows once the display fills your screen.

Well it really depends on what type of website you're looking for. I have become addicted to tumblr.com recently. It's a microblogging website. It's really cool you get to connect with all kinds of interesting people and it's not as shallow as twitter because you actually know background info on who you're following.

But in the end it really depends on your interests, you should use Bing to find a website with your interests.

BoingBoing.net is billed as "A Directory of Wonderful Things" and does a good job of delivering a variety of eclectic content.
MetaFilter is a community-curated site with a variety of content that extends beyond the news-oriented content that sites like Digg and Reddit specialize in.
These two sites alone are great places to begin your exploration of the more interesting, wonderful, and cool parts of the interwebs. Even without you providing any direction on things you find cool, you are sure to find something you like at either of these links.
