What are signs or symptoms of a thyroid disease?
What would some signs or symptoms of thyroid disease be? My Mom and grandma both had thyroid disease and I want to be informed.

One of the early symptoms of thyroid disease is the excessive weight loss in spite of regular eating. Also tiredness and short of breath is felt often. There is feeling of vulnerability to sunlight. Bowel movement becomes frequent and muscles start to weaken and shaking appears. Other signs are anxiety and stress seen often in patients. In extreme cases, there are frequent mood swings or even psychosis and in extreme case, the patient can fall into a coma.
