What are possible natural occurring explanations for pyramids on Mars?
What you think about the pyramids on Mars?
Did Mar experience a catastrophe?
Was Mars once inhabited or is this theory a fantasy of the mind?

Pattern recognition, like numerology, horoscopes and palm reading are sciences of convenience and personal interpretation.

As complicated as we're able to make things, not everything that is natural and numerically or scientifically interesting is crafted by man or ??

Pyramid shapes on Mars are caused by lighting angles and shadow. While interesting to ponder there might be more to it, it only suggests to me that something is under the sand causing the shapes to emerge from wind patterns and dirt.

It seems you have demonstrated the pyramids are shadow illusions or strange rock formations that seem to look like recognizable shapes.
What about the angles of the shadows? If the angle seems to match existing pyramid angle is that coincidental?
The D&M pyramid on frame 70A13 is 1.6 miles long and has more than a cubic mile of material with the apex nearly a half mile height. D&M is a five sided pyramid and sits on the 40.8 latitude mark. D&M has three edges spaced 60 degrees apart.
No dune will ever form a symmetrical polyhedron. D&M is characterized with flat side and straight edges. Local reverse airflow can cut a flat surface perpendicular to the wind direction
You had a great answer, you have not explained the geometric characteristics found in the D&M Pyramid.
Perhaps beneath the sands of mars we'll find rock formations fantastic in size. One of my favorite natural occurring shapes on Earth is fluorite.
No one has definitively answered the D&M mystery so I don't feel bad. But it's a fair speculation to include the possibility of large crystalline formations. It would be wonderful to discover a new type of rock, wouldn't it?
In our minds it is. As a natural occurrence you'll notice that the shape of the apparent pyramid isn't perfect. Ours are.

Also our pyramids are comprised of stacked stones. The shapes on Mars are covered with sand.
It's what's under the sand that is of interest to me.
Blown sand over a pyramid would create angles on one side and a drift on the other. Not a shape.
Blown sand over a thinner shape could produce the shadows we see.
